This is my website about the flying lessons I had to get my private pilots license (PPL) on my 17th birthday, a bit like a pilots diary with as many pics and vids as I can get along with full descriptions of what I did in each lesson.
It's also hopefully going to be updated a bit more often, as a log of the flights i've done since getting my license, but that will depend on how busy I am!
To get actually get my license I saved all the money I earned, initially from a paper round & then later a part time job, putting everything towards the cost of the lessons/equipment which I needed for flying.

FAQ's
What age did you start?
I started a few months after I turned 14, I flew solo for the first time on my 16th birthday & got the PPL on my 17th. All are the earliest possible ages you can do those things.
how long did it take to get the PPL?
Well answer is above really,... about 3 years, I was held back quite a bit because of my age, most people take 1-2 years assuming they fly every few weeks.
How much did it cost to get your licence?
With all the equipment, landing fees, club membership.. etc & extra hours I ended up doing, it was round about £7000 - 3 years ago, so it will be more now...
